Korean cosmetics always amaze me. They are so different from the ones from west, in many ways. Sometimes they just have super unique and cute packaging, other time they have intriguing ingredients in them. Lately there was huge hype into snail cosmetics. My first cream which had this ingredient was by Mizon and at first it seemed great. However after time being my face started to break out horribly and I thought I won’t use cosmetics with snail ever again. Year later memebox holics received Benton Snail Essence in their box (the one I didn’t purchase). I was bombed with many great reviews about this product (although it also had period of time when people hated it, apparently there was one batch in which product was contaminated )and despite common sense I bought samples of it. Well since now I have full size of it you must already know that I loved it.
First of all, I really like the packaging. It seems eco-friendly but at the same time it doesn’t look cheap. The bottle itself is good too. I hate when products are wrapped in some foils and I can’t see how much of product left – here we haven’t that problem. The pump is nice too, it gives right amount of product, can’t really complain.
If it comes to essence, it hasn’t any smell and it’s clear. It’s really liquid so at first you can overdo with it. I think 2 pumps should be enough for whole face. It is really light product and absorbs quickly. I didn’t expect much of moisturizing effect from it since it’s only essence but it does it well. In summer, when I was using samples, sometimes Benton alone was enough for my face.
Although main reason I really love this product is the fact what it did to my face. I used to have damaged skin with redness and post acne scars but thanks to this essence it’s almost past now. It really heals your skin in short period of time. Couple days ago my face got really irritated and was itchy to the point I wasn’t sure what I could use on my skin to not make it worse. In winter I have really dry skin so I need to use something and I decided to go with Benton. Next morning my face felt way better, it was still a bit irritated and red but it didn’t hurt anymore. Two days after everything went back to normal. Only bad thing I can say about this product is that it runs out really quickly but it could be me using too much of it ;D.
